Neon Cartography

A series of imagined city maps, each generated from a short piece of fiction describing the place.

Every plate in this series begins as a paragraph of invented history. The text is expanded into landmarks, districts and trade routes, then rendered as a map in a consistent visual language. The interesting work was consistency: the same legend, the same type treatment and the same paper grain across forty prints.
